I started baking pies when I couldn't find a good one. They we're too sweet, and you couldn't tastE the fruit. I found the ingredients to include palm oil, shortening and other hydrogenated oils.
I worked in a small local restaurant under a talented chef who taught me how to make pie. We would bake in the back when it was slow and that's how my pies were born.
I began baking a lot of pie and they flew right out the door, one piece after another.
Before I knew it, pies were winning blue ribbons at the fair, I got interveiwed by the local paper and found myself applying for my very first business license.
We bake out of a local commercial kitchen and do not have a store front. Although this is something we hope to announce in the near future.
